We are looking for a Data Governance Consultant to support data governance initiatives, with a strong focus on metadata management and the use of data governance platforms such as Informatica, OpenMetadata, Collibra or Alation. This role involves hands-on contribution to governance frameworks and close collaboration with internal teams and stakeholders.
Design and implement data governance frameworks, policies, and best practices;
Lead metadata management initiatives, including data catalogs, business glossaries, and data dictionaries;
Work directly with clients using Collibra, Alation, or other tools, supporting configuration, adoption, and best practices;
Support data lineage and data quality initiatives across modern data platforms;
Act as a bridge between technical teams and business users, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
5+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, or related roles;
Hands-on experience with data governance platforms in a professional environment;
Strong understanding of Data Governance concepts such as Glossary, Data Quality, RDM, and Lineage;
Hands-on experience querying databases using SQL or similar technologies;
Client-facing experience or strong stakeholder management skills;
Good understanding of modern data platforms and cloud environments.

Located in Lisbon, Portugal, or open to relocating candidates currently based elsewhere in Europe to Lisbon, Portugal.
We embrace a hybrid work approach, with 3 days in the office and two days working remotely. Spending time in the office is essential for building in-person connections, fostering teamwork, and facilitating productive whiteboarding sessions and brainstorming.
